Supervision

Supervision is a core element of the training at Schema Therapy Group Lab. It provides a safe, reflective, and experiential space for clinicians to explore their clinical work with depth, curiosity, and sensitivity.

The focus is on strengthening therapeutic presence, refining Schema Therapy interventions, and understanding complex group and interpersonal processes. Particular attention is given to emotional attunement, the therapeutic relationship, and the integration of experiential, cognitive, and relational techniques in clinical practice.

Supervision formats follow ISST-oriented principles and support the development of advanced clinical competence in Schema Therapy.

Individual Supervision

Individual supervision provides a focused and reflective space for clinicians to explore their therapeutic work in depth. The emphasis lies on developing and refining Schema Therapy case conceptualizations, strengthening mode awareness, and integrating cognitive, experiential, and relational interventions in clinical practice.

Individual supervision supports clinicians in deepening their personal therapeutic style and increasing clinical confidence in complex cases.

Group Supervision

Group supervision offers a collaborative and experiential learning environment in which clinicians can learn from each other’s clinical cases and therapeutic approaches. It fosters reflective practice, professional exchange, and the shared exploration of Schema Therapy principles within both individual and group settings.

A central focus is placed on mode work, group dynamics, and the therapeutic relationship within complex interpersonal systems. Participants are supported in refining their ability to work with emotional activation, coping modes, and corrective relational experiences while receiving feedback in a supportive and structured group format.
